Who writes and checks the pages
Two people work on every page, under pen names. One writes, the other checks, so no page goes live on one person’s word. We do not take bets, hold player money or process deposits and withdrawals.

Ben writes the betting guides and the 1win pages on this site. He carried out the 08.10.2026 check of 1win.ng on an Android phone in the mobile browser, took the screenshots behind each 1win page and recorded the support answers we quote. Anything he could not see for himself is labelled by its source, such as “the site states”, “support told us” or “according to independent reviews”, or it is left out.

Worked example
Kemi checks each page before it is published or updated. She compares every 1win figure with the notes and screenshots from the 08.10.2026 check, re-reads bonus terms against the bonus details card, recalculates the payout maths in the worked examples and reviews legal wording, for example that a licence is quoted as the footer states it rather than turned into a verdict.
Corrections and updates
When a reader reports an error, Kemi re-checks the point against the 1win site. If our page was wrong, it is corrected and the update date at the top changes.
What we cover and why
The site is built around sports betting. Most pages explain betting itself: how odds work, how markets such as over/under and draw no bet settle, and how to read a bet slip before you confirm it. The 1win pages cover what a bettor runs into on the operator’s site: registration, login, deposits, withdrawals, the welcome bonus, support and the mobile site.
The site is for readers aged 18+ only. Our readers are adults in Nigeria who bet on football and other sports and want to know how 1win works before they register or move money. We write in plain English and price examples in naira. Betting questions need precise answers, because a wrong line about settlement or a payout calculation costs the reader money. Casino content exists on the site, but it is not our main subject.
How we check 1win
Our current 1win pages are based on two checks of 1win.ng in the Nigerian English version of the site: the main one on 08.10.2026 and a second look on 13.10.2026 at the Sports menu, prices, the betslip and the app offer, without an account. We took screenshots of the screens we describe, including the registration form, the bonus details, the deposit cashier and the identity-verification step that opens when you press “Withdraw”.
During that check we:
- read the cashier and noted the deposit methods and the limits where the cashier shows them;
- opened the bonus details and copied the stated terms, including the wagering requirement;
- read the rules and terms where they answer a player’s question, such as proof of address for verification;
- wrote to the live chat and recorded what happened.
What the check did not include
We made no real deposits or withdrawals, so where a page mentions payout times or withdrawal limits, it names the source: the site, support or independent reviews. No bet was placed in the sportsbook; our betting guides explain features such as cash-out or booking codes in general terms and say where to confirm them on 1win.
How we rate
Ratings come from what we could see and test, not from the operator’s marketing. We look at what a bettor actually runs into:
- whether the cashier shows methods and limits before you pay;
- whether bonus terms such as wagering and maximum withdrawal from a bonus are stated in full;
- what you must do before your first withdrawal, and whether the site says so up front;
- how support behaves in practice, not only what the site promises;
- how the mobile site works in an ordinary Android browser.
A missing term counts against the rating, because a player cannot plan around information that is not shown. A feature the site states but we could not test is described as stated and does not raise the score.
To read a score: it goes down when terms are not shown or a claim could not be checked, so a lower number can reflect missing information as much as a weaker offer. A score describes what a player in Nigeria could verify on the day of our check; it is not a promise about payouts or future terms.
Editorial principles
- Facts come only from our check, a screenshot, a support answer or a clearly labelled outside source. Where the site and an independent review disagree, we follow the site and say that the two differ.
- Downsides are written as plainly as the good parts and stay on the page whether or not they suit sign-ups.
- Bonus terms, payment methods and limits change; when we see a change, or a reader reports one through the contact page, we re-check and update.
