Who runs 1win in Nigeria and what we checked

The Nigerian version of the brand is operated by BID Entertainment Limited, according to the site’s footer. Our check covered 1win.ng only. Searches for 1win.com or the 1win official website can lead to other addresses, and we did not review any of them, so nothing on this page describes them.
What the footer names
In short, the footer cites a national sports betting permit from the federal lottery regulator and a licence from Oyo State’s gaming board, with both numbers given in the table below. Next to them the footer shows “NDP Act 2023 Audit Compliant 2024”, the GamCare and GambleAware logos and an 18+ mark. These are the operator’s own statements; we copied them from a screenshot and did not ask either regulator to confirm them, so treat the permit numbers as something you can check, not as our verdict. Betting rules in Nigeria also differ between states, so what applies to you can depend on where you live.
How the check was done
We opened the site in an Android browser with English (Nigeria) settings, took eight screenshots, read the bonus card, the cashier, the Terms and the Responsible Gaming page, and wrote to live chat. No money went in or out, so nothing on this page describes a real payout. On 13.10.2026 we returned with Android and iPhone browser settings, without an account, to read the sportsbook menu, the sports list, the prices and the betslip.

1win sports betting: the sportsbook on 13.10

The sportsbook menu has six sections: Top, Live, Upcoming, TOP Bets, Esports and Bet history. Odds are shown in decimal format, and each match card carries the 1X2 prices with a “+99” link to further markets. We did not open the Trading section and do not describe it here.
Sports and event counts
The prematch list on 13.10 started with Football at 1,241 events, then Tennis 486, Table Tennis 289, Basketball 223, Ice Hockey 198, Cricket 103 and Handball 89. Smaller lists followed: American Football 73, Volleyball 43, CS2 33, UFC 22, Chess 20, Darts 19, Dota 2 and Badminton 18 each, Boxing 16, and more below them. These counts change daily, so treat them as one day’s snapshot, not a fixed catalogue.
Prices and our margin sum
Two Champions League matches gave us prices to test. Lens v Sporting CP was priced 2.54 / 3.75 / 2.61; 1/2.54 + 1/3.75 + 1/2.61 adds up to 104.4%, a margin of about 4.4%. Arsenal v Lille at 1.21 / 6.6 / 14.0 adds up to 104.9%, about 4.9%. This is our own arithmetic on two matches, not a figure for the whole book, and lower leagues can be priced differently. You can run the same sum on any match: convert each price to 1 divided by the odds and see how far the total sits above 100%.
The betslip and the accumulator bonus
Tapping a price puts the selection in the betslip without a login. The slip has three tabs, Single, Multiple and Series, with “Bonus” and “MAX Possible win” fields above the “Place a bet” button. It also showed the line “Add 4 more events to get a 7% win bonus”, with steps of 7%, 9%, 10%, 12% and 15% as more events go in. The bonus raises the payout of a winning multiple, but one losing leg still loses the whole slip, so more events mean a smaller chance that the slip lands.
What we could not see without an account
Minimum stake, cash-out and booking-code entry did not appear without an account, so this review does not confirm them. After you register, check them on a Premier League match before you deposit:
- Cash-out: a button on an open bet that settles it early for a sum the bookmaker offers. If you don’t see it on an open slip, assume it isn’t available for that market.
- Booking codes: a field to load a shared slip by its code. Nigerian tipsters often post codes, so look for it before you rely on one.
- Minimum stake: the slip usually shows it when you type a stake that is too small.
- Postponed matches: bookmakers often void that leg of an accumulator and recalculate the odds, but the house rules decide.
From a new account to your first slip
For a first-time bettor the route is short: account, cashier, match, stake, confirm. Below is only what is specific to this site.
Step by step
- Register with your phone number and a password. The form has an optional “Add promo code” field, and pressing Register counts as accepting the 18+ rule, the Terms and the Privacy Policy; there is no separate tick box.
- Open the cashier and choose a naira method (see the payments section below).
- Go to Sports, pick the match and tap a price to add it to the betslip.
- Type your stake on the Single tab and read the “MAX Possible win” line before you press “Place a bet”. That line includes your stake, so it is not your profit: ₦3,000 at 1.90 returns ₦5,700, of which ₦2,700 is profit.
- After the final whistle, the bet settles and the return goes to your balance.
Paying in and cashing out in naira

The Nigerian cashier works in NGN and is built around local payment brands, which is the strongest part of what we checked.
Deposits
The deposit screen groups local wallets, bank transfer, USSD and card options, all in naira. Cards come with a printed range of ₦1,000 to ₦1,000,000 per deposit, and that range is for cards, not a rule for wallets or USSD. Crypto is not among the options, and fees are not shown, so look at the confirmation screen of your bank or wallet before you approve.
Withdrawals
Pressing “Withdraw” opens “Identity verification” first, and the payout form, methods and limits appear only after that step. Support said the document check takes 24–72 hours, which is a document review, not a payout time; the documents, what reviews say about large withdrawals and how to cancel a pending request are in our full withdrawal guide. Verify your account before you place a big accumulator, not after it lands.
The welcome bonus from a bettor's side

The bonus card spreads the welcome offer from the table across the first four deposits, with the promotion running until 01.01.2027. The first deposit gets 100% + 70 FS, with the same minimum deposit as the cashier, a maximum bonus of ₦750,000, wagering x30 and a maximum withdrawal from the bonus of x1. The second deposit card shows 120% + 100 FS.
The free spins are casino spins, and the card leaves out the wagering period, the maximum bet while wagering and the free-spin rules. Whether bets on football count towards the wager is the first thing a bettor should settle before taking the offer; our page on the welcome bonus terms works through the wager with naira examples. Our promo code NAIJA1WIN goes into the optional code field in the sign-up form and gives the standard welcome package.
Casino, in-house games and the mobile site

The casino is the larger part of the site by game count. The Slots section lists 14,802 games, live casino holds 115 tables from Evolution and Pragmatic Play Live, and search finds crash games such as Aviator and Lucky Jet, an in-house 1win game. Our walk through the casino lobby covers the sections, providers and demo mode, and our checklist for choosing an online casino explains what to look at on any casino site before you play.
On the phone, the site adapts to the Android browser, opens in a dark theme and keeps a bottom bar with Menu, Home, Casino, Free money and Sports; the sections we opened were 1–2 taps away. The menu also offers “1win for Android”, an app installed from the site by its own QR-code steps, and on iPhone a home-screen web app added through Safari, with “200 Points bonus for installing the app” next to the item. Our guide to betting on a phone lists what to look for in any mobile sportsbook.
Support, account access and responsible gambling
Live chat is one of the three reasons this review stops at 7.0; the other two are the betslip features we could not see without an account and the withdrawal rules hidden behind verification.
Live chat in our test
The site states 24/7 chat with a reply in about 2 minutes. In our test a bot answered at once, but no live agent joined within 10 minutes of our question. The site also lists Telegram and WhatsApp. There is no FAQ or help centre, and the business address the site gives is for commercial offers, not player questions. If a bet is disputed, keep screenshots of the slip and the time you wrote.
Logging in and recovering a password
The site shows two login tabs: Phone (phone number and password) and Email, and a “Forgot your password?” link sits in the same form. An account opened by phone signs in on the Phone tab.
Responsible gambling tools
The Responsible Gaming page links to GamCare, GambleAware, GamblePause and Gamblers Anonymous. You can self-exclude through account settings or by writing to [email protected], and an excluded account can be reopened no earlier than 6 months later. We found no deposit-limit tool on that page; if you need a limit and do not see one in your account, your bank or wallet can cap spending. In Nigeria, Gamble Alert runs a 24/7 helpline on +234 916 295 7989, +234 705 889 0073 and +234 705 889 0074.
Pros
- Naira cashier built on local wallets, bank transfer, USSD and Nigerian cards
- Operator, permit and licence named in full in the footer
- Bonus card shows the wager, maximum bonus and end date
- Large casino with crash games and live tables
- Sportsbook with decimal odds, 1,241 football events listed on 13.10 and an accumulator bonus of up to 15%
Cons
- Minimum stake, cash-out and booking-code entry not visible without an account
- Withdrawal limits and times hidden until identity verification
- No deposit-limit tool on the Responsible Gaming page, no FAQ or help centre
- Free spin wagering, wagering period and max bet not shown
Verdict

7.0/10 For a Nigerian bettor, the operator gets the basics into a familiar local shape: naira accounts, wallet and USSD deposits, a footer that names the operator and two regulators, and a bonus card that states its wager and cap. The sportsbook shows decimal odds, a long football list and a 4.4–4.9% margin on the two Champions League matches we summed. Three things keep it at seven. Minimum stake, cash-out and booking codes did not appear without an account; withdrawal limits stay hidden until verification; and live chat gave us only the bot when we wanted a person.
It suits accumulator bettors who will confirm cash-out and stake limits after sign-up, who want to pay with local wallets, and who will finish identity verification before staking seriously.
Who should skip it: players who need fast human support, anyone who needs a deposit limit on the site itself, since the page we read lists none, and bettors who want a welcome offer built around sports bets.

FAQ
Is 1win.ng the official 1win website for Nigeria?
1win.ng is the site the operator runs for Nigeria: its footer names BID Entertainment Limited and the two permits listed above. This guide, 1winbet.com.ng, is an independent site and not the official website.
What licence does 1win Nigeria show?
Two documents: a federal sports betting permit and an Oyo State licence, both quoted with numbers in the table above. These are the operator's statements, and the numbers can be checked with the regulators.
Can I deposit with Opay or PalmPay?
Yes, the cashier lists both, along with bank transfer, USSD and card options. The minimum deposit in the cashier is ₦1,000.
Is there a bonus code for Nigerian players?
Yes, our 1win promo code is NAIJA1WIN. Enter it in the optional promo code field at sign-up for the standard welcome package of up to 500% + 500 free spins; the bonus is then credited on qualifying deposits.
Does 1win have a deposit limit tool?
The Responsible Gaming page we read has no deposit-limit tool. It offers self-exclusion through account settings or [email protected]. We did not open account settings with a live account, so if you find no limit there, set one in your bank or wallet.
